Yu-Gi-Oh! gift guide 2026: the best presents at every budget
Yu-Gi-Oh! gifts from a $5 stocking filler to a booster box: tins, Legendary Decks box sets, Chronicles decks and boxes, with today's prices and the cheapest store.
Yu-Gi-Oh! has more products than almost any card game, which makes gift shopping harder than it should be. Here is what to buy at each budget, with today's market prices. Every product links to its page, where we compare TCGplayer, eBay and every store we track, cheapest in-stock first.
The one rule: for a new or returning player, buy a box set of ready-made decks; for an active player, buy sealed from a recent set or a tin; for a collector, ask which set they chase.
Under $10: stocking fillers
- A booster pack of a recent set, such as Chaos Origins Booster Pack [1st Edition] ($4.91) or Maze of Muertos Booster Pack [1st Edition] ($5.43).
- A 2025 Mega-Pack Mega Pack ($4.80), the big reprint pack from the yearly tin.
- THE CHRONICLES DECK: Spirit Charmers (All-Foil Edition) Deck: $10.95. A ready-to-play deck in all-foil, a fun present for anyone.
$20 to $40: the classic gifts
- The yearly tin. 2025 Mega-Pack Tin ($27.56) holds Mega Packs full of reprints of popular cards, a favourite of players at every level.
- Legendary Decks box sets are the best present for a new or returning player: three ready-to-play decks built around anime characters. Legendary Arc-V Decks: Box Set ($19.68), Legendary Modern Decks: Box Set ($36.16) and Legendary 5D's: Box Set ($30.85).
- Legendary Collection Kaiba Box Set [Unlimited] (2020 Date Reprint) ($33.62), for a fan of Seto Kaiba and Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
- Mini boxes, the retail-exclusive half boxes, such as Blazing Dominion Mini Booster Box (Retail Exclusive) ($30.14).
$40 to $130: a booster box
A sealed 24-pack box is the big present for someone who already plays. Recent 1st Edition boxes:
- Chaos Origins Booster Box [1st Edition]: $88.13
- Battles of Legend: Glorious Gallery Booster Box [1st Edition]: $76.78
- Maze of Muertos Booster Box [1st Edition]: $82.66
- Burst Protocol Booster Box [1st Edition]: $71.11
- Beyond the Brave Booster Box [1st Edition]: $56.49
- Rarity Collection 5 Booster Box: $127.74, a premium set where every card is a high rarity
Box prices move week to week, and stores often sit under TCGplayer's market price. Our booster box price list shows the cheapest store for each, and the best basket tool prices several items in one order, shipping included.
For the collector
Vintage sealed product, such as early 1st Edition boxes, Starter Decks and Collectors Tins, sells for hundreds or thousands. If that's the plan, buy from a seller you trust and read our guide to 1st Edition vs Unlimited first. The tin price list and starter deck price list show what each sells for today.
Buying tips for the holidays
- Order early. Tins and new sets sell out in December, and prices climb when they do.
- Watch the release calendar. Our release schedule lists what lands before Christmas, and pre-orders shows every store's price.
- Want a particular card instead? A single staple a player needs is often a better present than packs. Look it up on the card price list.
- Outside the US? Switch the market at the top of any page for stores in your country.
